About Kieran Broadmoor

Born in 1955, the Incredibly Shy and Totally Innocent Kieran Broadmoor was exposed to the great music of the 30s and 40s at an early age by his mother, who continually played such great music as The Dorseys, Miller, The Ink Spots, Sinatra, and Crosby from the time he can remember.

A little later in life, Dan picked up the clarinet and quite naturally ended up playing swing, jazz, and big band through his school years.

When he was 17, he enrolled in the Columbia School of Broadcasting...a now closed correspondence program designed to train people to work in radio. He did an internship at 3 radio stations in Sacramento, CA....KROY, KFBK, and KRAK.

At 18, he joined the military and traveled to Europe and Asia working in the telecommunications field. Occasionally he would volunarily fill in at local AFRTS (Armed Forces Radio and Television Service) stations, picking up more experience. While stationed on Guam in the early 80s, Kieran's love of music led him to a part time job working midnight to 6 am Friday and Saturday nights (can you say party time?) as a DJ at a local Top 40 AM radio station (KUAM, 1640 on your radio dial) and embedded him further into current music.

Kieran currently is heard occasionally at radio stations around the country, doing voiceover work for both commercials and station imaging.

Kieran has worked at a number of Second Life Venues, both as a DJ and Club Manager. He also worked for 2 years at SL's Mix - FG Radio as Program Director, and as the resident DJ for the Second Life Surfing Association (under an old account).

Kieran's current endeavors are operating The S&I DJ School and DJ Intros, training new DJs in the art of SAM Broadcaster. He also continues his voiceover work, producing DJ Intros, DJ Drops, and Club/Business Promos (Commercials) As of November 29th, 2017, he has trained 213 students at S&I DJ School.

To hire Kieran in SL, his play rate is actually pretty reasonable. 2500$L for a 2 hour set of whatever kind of music you'd like. Feel free to negotiate...and let him know what you'd like to hear.
